The SEO check offers you a compact overview of all results in the first place. After that, we dive deeper into the matter and analyze each topic in detail. Below you will find all the factors that appear as a result of the SEO test and what conclusions you can draw from them for the SEO optimization of your own website.
The SEO test analysis shows you the exact number of current backlinks as well as the complete URL to the respective backlink. The list starts with the backlink that has the highest domain value. You know about a backlink on a website, but you can’t find it in the list? This can have several reasons: The corresponding content has been deleted, the link is outdated or it has a nofollow attribute. Contact the webmaster to restore the backlink correctly.
The short term Domain Pop stands for Domain Popularity, i.e. the popularity of a website among users. The domain pop is created on the basis of the black links. However, Google only evaluates one backlink per domain. So if your own blog is often linked to another blog, this still only counts as a single entry in the popularity statistics. At SEO Check, the number of these entries is indicated. The value displayed is therefore the same or a lower number than the Backlinks item. Here too, of course, the higher the value, the higher the popularity.
IP Pop stands for IP popularity. The SEO check controls and analyzes the IP addresses of the websites that set a backlink. If a webmaster maintains two different blogs and links to your website on both blogs, this means two backlinks entries and two domain pop entries in the SEO test, but only one entry in the IP pop factor. The more different IP addresses link to a website, the more popular and recommendable the website appears to the search engine. The IP popularity also prevents the independent creation of many web pages with the sole purpose of generating backlinks and traffic for his own page. This ensures that only valuable and genuine backlinks have an influence on the ranking.
The loading time of the website at the time of the SEO check is displayed in seconds, rounded to two decimal places. If the value is above 0.60 seconds, there is potential for improvement. A value above a whole second is now considered outdated and not only has a negative effect on the search engine ranking, but can also scare off users. Even with a website that has already undergone a thorough SEO optimization, the loading time should be checked regularly. The faster, the better is the rule here!
The size factor checks the volume of the home page and all subpages that the SEO crawler passes through. The value is displayed in the unit MB (megabyte). If this value is too large, it can have a negative influence on the page load time. Since the Internet connections of most users are getting better and faster, the size no longer plays such an important role as it did in the earlier days of the Internet. Nevertheless, compression should not be dispensed with, especially for images.
In this section, the SEO check shows all the individual elements of the searched page. The elements include things like title tags and meta descriptions. The test for SEO optimization first lists the number of elements found. It then goes on to look at possible errors, such as missing or duplicate meta description tags, title tags that are too long or too short, and missing tags for images. All this makes it difficult for a search engine crawler to rank a website and can therefore have a negative effect.
The page speed is evaluated in the analysis of Google on a scale from 1 to 100. In contrast to the loading time point, where the speed is displayed in actual seconds, the SEO test adheres to the Google scale here. 100 points are reached on the scale of the fewest pages. In general, a page speed between 55 and 65 points is quite sufficient and is also evaluated positively in the ranking. If the value displayed in the listing in the SEO check is significantly below this, images in particular should be optimised and compressed for the web.
The Page Speed Mobile value looks at the same factors as the regular Page Speed, but for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Here, too, a scale from 1 to 100 is given. Since more and more users -sometimes exclusively- use these mobile devices on the internet, the Page Speed Mobile should not be left out. Optimally, the value should be the same or very similar to the value when calling up the website with a laptop and PC.
This point analyzes to what extent the website is compatible with mobile devices. Inexperienced website administrators often concentrate purely on the design and usability on the laptop. If the programming is incorrect here, the page may be unusable or unsightly on the smartphone. A high value in the SEO check indicates that the website is also easily visitable with the smartphone and does not lose quality.
A status code beginning with the number 4 indicates a client error. When the page is called up, the web browser makes a request that cannot be answered by the server. An example of this is the status 401, which indicates a non-existent page. The SEO check should not find a single status code 4xx. If the displayed value is above 0, the affected pages should be quickly removed or corrected in the course of SEO optimization.
A status code beginning with the number 5 indicates a server error. The page is available, but cannot be accessed. If the server is frequently overloaded or an action has been inserted into the web page that is not supported by the server, this will have a negative effect on the Google ranking. With a regular value above 0 in the SEO check, a server change should be considered.
