Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is an open source framework that can be used to significantly reduce the loading speeds of mobile websites. The concept of Accelerated Mobile Pages is based on the reduction of JavaScript, HTML and CSS as well as a Content Delivery Network (CDN). The project is supported by Google.

Development history

The foundation stone for the AMP project was laid in October 2015. The three major initiators Google, Adobe and WordPress wanted to create a mobile eco-system that would bring quite a few advantages for publishers as well as developers and users. Since the project is based on an open source approach, it is expected that AMP will spread and establish itself quickly.

How works

The loading speed of a website depends primarily on the size of the website. With Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) webmasters and site operators try to reduce the size of a website as much as possible. At the same time, the content of a AMP website is made available through a Content Delivery Network . When a user accesses content, it is delivered through the content delivery network, keeping latency to a minimum. The functionality of Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) at a glance:

  • Reduction of the website size
  • Optimization of the loading speed
  • Minimization of loading times
  • Possible applications

AMP -Websites are not limited to a specific area. With Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) e-commerce applications as well as news portals or special registration forms can be realized equally well.
