An administrator is a person who oversees IT services with broad authority.

Database Administrator

This administrator role for the technical maintenance of databases includes the following tasks:

Forum Administrator

People in this role set up the structure of a forum and can intervene in all technical matters. They often also act as moderators to enforce communication guidelines in the community.

Network Administrator

A network administrator sets up networks and maintains their functionality. Responsibilities include server support, software and network interaction, and network integrity and resilience.

Server Administrator

Server administrators design, install, configure, manage, and optimize enterprise servers and related components. This includes Client/server applications as well as developing processes for the ongoing management of the server environment.

System Administrator

A systems administrator (or sysadmin) is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and reliable operation of entire computer systems. Areas of responsibility include availability, performance, resources (hardware and software), and security of the computers under care.
